Francis Drake COLERIDGE, born in Exeter in 1837, is the elder son of George & Elizabeth COLDRIDGE of Exeter. He married Ellen in London at the age of 31, but subsequently lived in Bristol where they had 3 sons. Francis Drake's marriage was reported in the Western Times on Friday 5th June 1868:

COLERIDGE–ESSEX. June 2, at St. Pancras Church, London, Francis Drake COLERIDGE, of Clifton, Bristol, to Ellen, eldest daughter of William ESSEX, Esq , Gordon-square, London.

The funeral took place yesterday, at Canford Cemetary, of Mr. Francis Drake COLERIDGE, one of the veterans of the old Gloucestershire Artillery Corps. … He leaves a widow and two sons, Fleet Paymaster George COLERIDGE, R.N., and Dr. Alfred COLERIDGE, now serving with his Majesty's forces.
