Arthur George COLERIDGE's marriage at the age of 34 to Matilda Louisa GIBSON, born around 1841, was registered in December 1871 in Clifton. According to a notice in the Bristol Mercury, Matilda was the widow of the late Capt. D. GIBSON, 24th Regiment, and elder daughter of Major S. E. TAYLOR, and they married on 14th October 1871.
