Henry & Emma Coldridge of Bicton

Henry COLDRIDGE, born in 1842, is the eldest son of George & Sarah COLDRIDGE of Dunsford. He had 10 children – 7 sons and 3 daughters - whose births are recorded in Dunsford, Launceston, Dunchideock and East Budleigh, presumably due to his work as a gamekeeper. Henry later became an agricultural labourer and settled in Tedburn St Mary.

Henry COLDRIDGE's marriage at the age of 23 to Emma MORRISH, born around 1841 in Tedburn St Mary, was registered in September 1865 in St Thomas.

Henry COLDRIDGE, Bachelor, Servant, son of George COLDRIDGE, Farmer, married Emma MORRISH, Spinster, Servant, daughter of William MORRISH, Tailor, on 26th September 1865 in the Parish Church of Holcombe Burnell after banns. Both are of full age and sojourners in the parish. Henry made his mark, Emma signed. Witnesses George MORRISH and Mary MORRISH.

The following entry appears in the index immediately before Henry's marriage but I have been unable to find further details:

George COLDRIDGE's marriage was registered in September 1865 in St Thomas.
