Thomas & Mary Coldridge of Doddiscombsleigh

Thomas COLDRIDGE, born around 1750 in Doddiscombsleigh, is the second son of Thomas & Mary COLDRIDGE, and is my great-great-great-great-grandfather.

Thomas COLDRIDGE's marriage at the age of 30 to Mary WILLIAMS was recorded on 12th December 1780 in Doddiscombsleigh. His occupation is noted as butcher.

John COLDRIDGE was baptised on 14th December 1783. He is my great-great-great-grandfather.

Mary COLERIDGE was baptised on 31st July 1786. Her burial was recorded 1 week later on 8th August 1786. [†]

Thomas COLERIDGE was baptised on 18th June 1789.

Mary COLDRIDGE was baptised on 17th October 1790.

In 1811 Thomas COLDRIDGE is widowed and living with John & Mary Hore, presumably his son in law's parents. His daughter Ann and her husband are living next door with their children:

Ann COLDRIDGE's marriage at the age of 20 to Edward HORE was recorded on 22nd June 1803.

Mary COLDRIDGE was baptised on 7th August 1803 in Doddiscombsleigh, mother Anne COLDRIDGE and Edward HORE the reputed father.

Thomas was the only COLDRIDGE of his generation recorded in the census, and is the father of John COLDRIDGE who was also recorded in Doddiscombsleigh in 1811.

Mary COLDRIDGE, assumed to be Thomas's wife, was buried on 12th July 1808.

Thomas COLDRIDGE, aged 72, was buried on 13th July 1820.
