Richard & Joane Coldridge of Doddiscombsleigh

Richard COLRIDGE, baptised in Dunsford in 1667, is the son of Richard & Grace COLDRIDGE of Dunsford. I have found no record of his marriage to Joane around 1685, but the Doddiscombsleigh parish register has records of the baptisms of their three daughters:

Joane COLRIDGE – Baptism 5th December 1687 in Doddiscombsleigh, daughter of Richard & Joane.

Elizabeth COLRIDGE – Baptism 30th May 1695 in Doddiscombsleigh, daughter of Richard Junr.

Joan COLRIDGE – Baptism 30th May 1699 in Doddiscombsleigh, daughter of Richard.

The Doddiscombsleigh parish register also has records of their daughters' burials:

Joan COLRIDGE – Burial 22nd August 1697 in Doddiscombsleigh [aged 9], daughter of Richard Jun. [†]

Elizabeth COLRIDGE – Burial 3rd June 1705 in Doddiscombsleigh [aged 10], daughter of Richard. [†]

It is probable that Richard's youngest daughter Joan also died in childhood since she is not mentioned in Richard's 1719 will according to J.T.H. DuBoulay.

Joan COLRIDGE – Burial 20th November 1695 in Doddiscombsleigh, wife of William.
