Richard COLDRIDGE was born in Upton Pyne in 1849 and is the eldest son of Richard & Elizabeth COLDRIDGE. He had 4 children and lived in Brighton, Wolborough and Bristol. Richard, Emily and 3 of their children emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s.

Richard COLDRIDGE's marriage at the age of 34 to Emily Kate MILLS from Wolborough was registered in June 1883 in Newton Abbot. Emily was 11 years younger than him.

In 1926 Richard & Emily are recorded in Brandon with their eldest son and his wife. Herbert, their second son, is recorded in Winnipeg (as COLRIDGE) with his wife and young daughter.

Herbert Henry & Mary's daughter's birth was announced in the Western Daily Press on Friday 14th September 1923:

COLDRIDGE. To Mr and Mrs Harry COLDRIDGE, Suite 24, Woodlawn Apartments, Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on August 16 1923, a daughter "Faith".

Emily Kate COLDRIDGE's death, aged 77, was recorded on 2nd February 1937 in Fort Frances, Ontario.

Richard and Herbert settled in Vancouver, and the following records were found:

Mary Lee COLDRIDGE's death, age 85, was recorded on 21st June 1983 in North Vancouver. She was born on 1st January 1898 in London, her father was Matthew BAKER, and she is noted as the widow of Herbert Henry COLDRIDGE.

Richard Hugh COLDRIDGE's death, aged 94, was recorded on 5th October 1984 in Vancouver. His date of birth is given as 13th May 1890, and his wife is noted as Louise Muriel THORNTON.

Louise Muriel COLDRIDGE's death, aged 90, was recorded on 17th May 1989 in Vancouver.
