Richard COLDRIDGE, born around 1747, is the eldest son of Thomas & Mary COLDRIDGE of Doddiscombsleigh. He married Anne when he was 28 and lived in Doddiscombsleigh where they had 3 sons, the first of whom died in infancy. They moved to Exeter by 1784 when the birth of their only daughter was recorded.

Richard COLDRIDGE & Anne MAY – Marriage 23rd November 1775 in Dunsford, noting that Richard was from Doddiscombesleigh. Ann was born around 1751.
