John COLDRIDGE's marriage at the age of 46 to Elizabeth Hutchings BARRETT was registered in Exeter in September 1861.
John COLDRIDGE, Widower, Builder, residing St Paul Exeter, son of John COLDRIDGE, Farmer, married Elizabeth Hutchings BARRETT, Spinster, residing St Mary Major, daughter of Samuel BARRETT, Baker, on 29th August 1861 in the Parish Church of St Mary Major Exeter by licence. Both of age. Both signed. Witnesses Saml BARRETT and Matthew BARRETT.
A notice in the Western Times on 31st August refers to the marriage of Mr. J COLDRIDGE, builder, to Elizabeth Hutchings, youngest daughter of Mr. S. BARRETT, baker.

In 1871, John & Elizabeth are living in Exeter with their niece, Elizabeth, the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth in Doddiscombsleigh. They appear to have had no children of their own.
John COLDRIDGE's death, aged 64, was registered in December 1880 in Exeter.
In 1881, John's widow Elizabeth is visiting Joseph & Elizabeth in Doddiscombsleigh.

In 1891, Elizabeth is living in Warwickshire (with her niece I presume). Both Barrett and Bessie's birthplaces are given as Exeter. The 1901 census records Elizabeth, aged 72, still living with them but their address is then recorded as Worcester, Yardley.

Elizabeth COLDRIDGE's death, aged 84, was registered in March 1913 in Exeter. She was buried in Exeter cemetery on 20th January 1913.
