George & Elizabeth Coldridge of Exeter

George COLDRIDGE, born in Exeter in 1864, is the second son of Charles & Amelia COLDRIDGE and my great-grandfather's younger brother - there is only a year or so difference in their ages. He stayed in Exeter, where he married and had 6 children: 4 daughters and 2 sons.

The following announcement appeared in the Western Times on Monday 12th October 1896:

A wedding which achieved a good deal of notice on Saturday was celebrated in St James's Church, where the curate (Rev. E. Windsor) united Mr George COLDRIDGE, second son of Mr Charles COLDRIDGE of Doddiscombsleigh, well-known in athletic circles in Exeter, with Miss E. A. LORAM, of this city. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr E. LORAM, of Ashburton. After the ceremony the newly wedded pair left for London. The bride and bridegroom received numerous presents.
