Edwin & Ellen COLERIDGE of Buckerell

Edwin Ellis OLERIDGE, born about 1803, is the only son of Edward & Ann COLERIDGE of Ottery St Mary. There was a notice of his marriage in the Bath Chronicle on 28th July 1831:

At Broadclist, July 20, the Rev. E. E. COLERIDGE, vicar of Buckerell, Devon, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter the late Rev. George TUCKER, rector of Musbury and Uplyme, Devon.

Edwin Ellis COLERIDGE married Elizabeth TUCKER on 20th July 1831 at Broadclyst.

There is a record of his wife's early death:

Elizabeth COLERIDGE was buried on 13th May 1840 in Buckerell, and her death, aged 31, was registered in June 1840 in Honiton.

In 1841 Edwin is widowed and living in Buckerell. A notice of his second marriage appeared in the Western Times later that year on 11th December 1841:

Dec. 8, at St. George's Bloomsbury, Edwin E. COLERIDGE, Vicar of Buckerell, to Ellen Sophia, second daughter of Henry PATTESON, Esq., of Woburn Place, London, and niece to the Hon. Sir John PATTESON, of Feniton Court, in this county.

Edwin Ellis COLERIDGE's marriage to Ellen Sophia PATTERSON was registered in December 1841 in Bloomsbury.

Ellen Sophia COLERIDGE's death, aged 68, was registered in September 1885 in Newton Abbot.
