Western Times, Friday 1st April 1938: COLRIDGE. On Tuesday, March 29th, John Gorwyn, beloved son of Eva COLRIDGE, Netherton, Drewsteignton, at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, aged 24 years. Interment, Drewsteignton, on Saturday, 3 p.m.

Western Times, Friday 8th April 1938: An enquiry into the tragic death of John Gorwyn COLRIDGE, the 24-years-old workman who was killed when a beam fell on his head at the former ice cream factory near St. David's Station, Exeter, last week, was conducted at the Court House, Exeter, on Friday, by the city coroner. The coroner returned a verdict of "death by misadventure."
